GUEST VOTING
Team Boy or Team Girl? Everyone has a theory.
Guests type their name and make their guess on your reveal page. The votes build up before the big day, and they give everybody a side to cheer for.
Why people love voting
Takes seconds
A name and a tap. There is nothing to install, so even your least techy relative can join in.
A running score
Once they have voted, guests can open all the votes and see who is on which team.
Works for twins too
Guests make a separate guess for each baby, up to three.
Part of the moment
By the time the countdown starts, everybody has already picked a side.
How guests vote
They open your link
They type the passcode you shared, and your page opens.
They make a guess
They enter their name and choose Team Boy or Team Girl.
They watch the teams grow
They see everyone’s votes, and they can leave a wish while they are there.
Getting more votes
- Share the link early. A week is plenty, and two is better.
- Vote first yourself, or ask your closest friend to, so the page isn’t empty when others arrive.
- Send a reminder the day before with the score so far. “Team Girl is ahead” gets people moving.
- Offer a small prize for the guests who call it, and announce the winners after the reveal.
Old wives’ tales to get them guessing
A little folklore makes the guessing more fun. Share your cravings or how you are carrying, and let your guests make what they will of it. None of it is science, which is half the charm.
Turn the votes into something to share
After the reveal, the video maker on your manage page can show how the votes came out, with totals only and no guest names. It is an easy way to share the fun with people who weren’t there.
Questions we get
Do guests need an account to vote?
No. They open your link, type your passcode and enter their name. Only the host needs an account.
Can guests see the other votes?
Yes. Once a guest has voted, they can open the list of all the votes. As the host you can see it at any time.
Do the votes give away the result?
No. Votes are only guesses, and the page doesn’t show the result until your reveal time.
Can we vote at an in-person party?
Yes. Put the QR card on the table. Guests scan it with their phones and vote from where they are sitting.
